Can he turn you into an inanimate object such as a car? Yes, but he'll just turn himself right back again.
Can he throw you in a different dimension? Yes, especially if he finds out his name. He generally goes by BJ.
Can he lock you within a time loop? (for amusement of course) No, not really. He can place him there, but Betelgeuse could magic his way back.
Can he read your mind? Yes, except for his name.
Can he read your emotions? Yes.
Can he toss you around using Telekinesis? No.
Can he see into your character's future? Yes.
Can he teleport you away? Yes, especially if he learns Betelgeuse's name.

Curiously, just for future reference and cause I'm curious, what's up with his real name? Sorry, don't know the canon.

Hi! :D No problem. Betelgeuse is a poltergeist with a lot of magic, but his name is magically bound. He can only leave his world's afterlife, if someone summons him by saying his name three times. He also is not able to say his name himself. He can, however, write it down or play charades until someone guesses what his name is. lol Once he's been summoned, he can be sent back to the afterlife, if anyone says his name three times again.

Apparently this is somewhat unique to him in his world, because he is usually summoned out of the afterlife by other ghosts to help them in haunting humans. However, he can be summoned by anyone, living or dead.

so doubt his real name would be relevant to Gab

Well, BJ can be pretty annoying. lol If they get along even slightly, he'll be begging Gabriel to take the binding off his name. It's his one real goal in Genessia.

He might find himself chatting with an illusion if Gabe gets too irritated, but that's pretty much it. AS long as he doesn't detect a bad vibe from you, he's all good and safe.

Depends. What's the terms of his binding? Then again, I can't deny the fact that Gabriel is very strong to begin with.

ROFL Good talent, though, I don't think many would accuse Betelgeuse of being boring. :D Actually, Gabriel might like Betelgeuse. They could be tricky together. lol BJ is a bit of a con artist.

They never really said how/why his name was bound in the movie, Beetlejuice. I play it as something that came along with his magic, when he died. What I told you before is really the only information we were given on it, in both the cartoon and movie canons. If you can/care to get hold of a copy, the movie is Beetlejuice, a sort of horror/comedy thing by Tim Burton. :D It's awesome!

LOL How does he define bad? I would describe Betelgeuse as chaotic neutral. He can be good, he can be bad. He's a bit hero and a bit villain and completely unashamed.

That's okay. Betelgeuse actually likes it when people prank him. It's a good way to earn his respect, especially if the prank is a really good one. Of course, he'll then prank back. :D
